Freefalling
Played 3 main freerolls tonight.
First the Poker Player Grand Prix on Betfair in which I was leading at the first break and then went into complete freefall going out 136th just 15 minutes after the break !
Then the Ibiza Party freeroll on Goal Poker in which I ended up 27th after being top 5 for a long time. Problem was I didn't really fancy the trip so played looser than even I can do sometimes and won a lot of hands I perhaps shouldn't have done as a result. Difficult to start playing tight when it is loose play that got you there. We'd have gone if first place had come my way.
The net result of the above is that I could concentrate on the WSOP qualifiers on Pacific Poker and managed 4th in one to qualify for Thursday's final (and win $4 !).
Been enjoyable tonight, winning some big hands if not a huge amount of money !

What do you think of Party Poker.com?

I haven't played a lot on Party Poker although I did recently waste $20 that they gave me, and quickly at that !
I remember some UK exclusive freerolls which helped but generally for me I think they are too big. Just looked now and a $300 freeroll starting in over five hours time already has over 5000 entrants.
'Fish' is not a good term to use to describe yourself in poker circles but I shall use the old analogy anyway - I may not exactly be a big fish in any of my comparatively small ponds but I definitely feel like a small fish in a big pond on Party Poker, or a fish out of water, or any other fish cliches you can think of !
From my limited experience I don't remember any problems with the game play, although that goes for most of the sites I play regularly. Although on that front a recent return to Pacific Poker was a reminder it is a little clunky, the leaderboard in a large MTT is hard to follow and the chat box is impractical.
If you have any sort of vested interest in my opinion of Party Poker I play there as Baychester (the racing name of our second born, and half-brother to the original runadrum). Not that I am there often but if you play there too and see me, say hello. I might pay a visit this weekend if I can find time to play a bit more and include a more specific comment.
Finally, thanks for reading and presumably at least staying awake ! Was a nice surprise to have a correspondent not personally known to me !
